Hi, Iā€™m Charlotte!

I have been training dogs at Flying Feet since I was 12 years old and just began my journey as an instructor in 2021.

It all began several years ago when I took the beginner obedience class at Flying Feet with our family Golden Retriever named Jenny. I instantly fell in love with training and decided to get my own dog. My first agility dog was a border collie named Patty. We gained our master agility title in standard and jumpers. I also handled Patty to her Championship in the confirmation ring. Patty gave 110% in everything. We competed in the AKC junior invitational two years in a row and won first place in the standard class. Aside from agility, Patty was avid about frisbee and would glide in the air to catch them. She was well-loved and an excellent first dog for me.

I now have a 5-year-old border collie named Rico. Rico is new to the competition agility world but is loving every second of it. Aside from agility, Rico loves to go on hikes and play with his new sister, Dixie. Dixie is a 2-year-old Golden Retriever. She is full of spunk and loves to do just about anything that involves treats! Dixie and I hope to compete in obedience and agility as she gets older. Dixie loves the water more than anything and would love to try dock diving someday. I love to see how happy training makes my dogs. Whether I am teaching them a trick in my kitchen or training in the agility ring, their faces always light up! They love to work and really just want to please. They put a smile on my face every day!

Outside of the dog world, I am a graduate of Ivy Tech and work part-time as a Physical Therapy Assistant and spend the rest of my time with my husband, Ben, and our fur babies.
